勝浦川の支流で、徳島市内では最高峰の中津峰山（標高773ｍ）を水源としている美しい川です。
It is a tributary of the Katsuura River, and it is a beautiful river whose source is Mt.Nakatsumine (elevation 773m), the highest peak in Tokushima city.
上流には【雌鴨の滝】、【雄鴨の滝】、【御来迎の滝】、【布引の滝】、【蔵王の滝】という５つの滝があり、これらの滝を【八多五滝】といいます。
There are five waterfalls in the upper stream: [Megamo waterfall], [Ogamo waterfall], [Goraigo waterfall], [Nunobiki waterfall], and [Zao waterfall]. It is called a [Hata five waterfalls].
八多川の川幅は狭いですが、上流は【八多五滝】もあるので四国の道が設置されハイキングコースとなっています。
Although the width of the Hata River is narrow, there is also the Hatagotaki Waterfalls upstream, so the Shikoku Road is a hiking trail.
八多川上流は、人家から離れているの雑踏や人の気配を感じずに散歩できる貴重なハイキングコースです。

八多川のせせらぎを３０分ノーカットで撮ってみました。滝も近いので瀑音も少し聞こえてきますが、鳥のさえずりも聞こえてきて癒されます。
I took a picture of the murmuring of Hata River for 30 minutes uncut. The waterfall is near, so you can hear a few waterfalls, but you can also hear the chirping of birds and heal.
人気も少なく非常にきれいな景勝地ですが、上流まで来ると滝つぼを横断する橋が落ちているので、すべての滝を見るのは難しい状況となっています。
Although it is a very scenic spot with little popularity, it is difficult to see all the waterfalls because the bridge that crosses the waterfall has dropped when it reaches the upper reaches.
